Reidsville & Rockingham County
There is no Apex storefront in Reidsville. If you have gold, silver, or coins to sell, you either call or drive about 40 minutes to Winston-Salem. The shop is on Walnut Street, not on a Reidsville highway.
US-29 south, then west into Winston-Salem, to 605 Walnut St SW.
Worth the trip, or not — we will say
Forty minutes is not across the state, but it is enough that you should not leave Scales Street with a bag of costume jewelry and hope. Call (336) 505-9503. Tania runs the day-to-day and can usually tell you if a small lot is worth the fuel. Jeff owns the shop and looks at coins when that is what you are bringing.
Gold is bought at about 75%. That is the number we use at the counter — not a teaser, not “up to.” Silver and coins are case by case: sterling, 90% halves, dollar albums, a coffee can of mixed cents. If it is plated or costume, we will say so instead of playing along.
Steve and Floki are the shop dogs. They are not a sales tactic. They just live here. If you would rather a quiet counter, say so when you walk in.
About 40 minutes to Walnut Street
Most folks drop south on US-29, then cut west into Winston-Salem. You are not looking for a Reidsville address. Destination: 605 Walnut St SW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Saturday is a short window (12–3pm), so weekday mornings are kinder if you are coming from Rockingham County.
We are not a pawn window and we are not a Reidsville branch. One counter. One phone number.
